I decided to check out different framing methods for the Eights Labels- mainly because they were so small that the regular sew and turn method left them… rather sad and bulky or distorted. The link above goes straight to the whole playlist. Below, there are links to the specific video for that method. If there is no link, I haven’t yet posted the video.
The reason WHY I did the series. It’s a short, 9 minute video on the why.
I chose five ways to do the labels and will add more as I come across them.
Naked-
There is no interfacing, no fusible- just the frame fabric and label.
Lightweight fusible-
Light, airy, basically stitch witchery on steroids in a large format option. I did two styles- one where I just did around the label ‘window’ and turned under the edge, and the other is where I did the whole frame and left a raw-edge ‘window’ that I zigzagged around.
Medium weight double-sided fusible-
This one has a paper backing that you peel off. Again, I did two styles- one where I just did around the label ‘window’ and turned under the edge, and the other is where I did the whole frame and left a raw-edge ‘window’ that I zigzagged around.
